What do I get?

You get wordpress, email addresses, discussion list or announcement list and a ‘name.ukscouts.org.uk’ free of charge.  We’ll even install the custom scout themes as developed by hawesWeb Productions and request a custom logo in the new scout format for your site.  You can see an example on http://www.4th-rochford.org.uk

The ‘How?’

WordPress is a free ‘blog’ system – but it’s easy for anyone to use and can be modified to act as a professional website for your group.  We do most of the hard work for you.

The hosting system is paid for privately – the spare space and bandwidth is donated free.  We’re unlimited which means unlimited – no storage restrictions, no bandwidth restrictions, though we recommend you keep your site as optimised as possible as search engines can boycot sites with long download times.

The ‘Why?’

Just because we’re nice.  Rest assured, if we decide to stop doing this and no-one wants to take it on, we’ll back up your site and store it for you online.
